Chain Guard Failure on Bosch Preformance

My Cannondale Contro-e is just hitting the 500 mile mark and decided throw a chain. The plastic chain guard did what it was intended to do and prevented it from going completly off the front sprocket, but not before getting irreversable bent out of shape. The now deformed chain guard had to be removed by the shop, as it was interfearing with the chain and we are now awaiting word from Canondale. It's been over a week and I'm beginning to think I'm on my own on this one, so I started doing some research and came up with this little gem. Does anyone have any experience with it? It seems to be a solution for my exact problem. I could just replace it with a new plastic one but I'm assuming it would only be a matter of time before that one got bent as well. My concern is that the aluminum one may not fit my particular motor which is a Bosch Preformance model. They seems to suggest that it fits all Bosch models. Has anyone else had this problem?

I use the Miranda chain guard with a Performance drive and it works great and looks snazzy too. Go for it!

I put a thin plastic disc behind it to prevent gunk from clogging up the holes. But that's just because I'm too lazy to clean them all the time.

I got it from Merlin Cycles in the UK. They were the only ones who had a red one at the time. I have bought from them before and they are good, cheap and fast.

Hi I suggest replacing that chain every 250 miles.
I have a Contro E 2 and the stretch after 225miles is significant. I followed another members advice and went with KMC. I was expecting this over built chain with sexy fabrication, alas it's by appearance normal! The thing I like about the deore group is the stuff may not be light of weigh but it's not lacking for durability. My new chain and sanitary cassette. All thanks to White Lightening.

700 miles on bike with same chain and not showing any signs of being "stretched".

I have a Contro E 2 and the stretch after 225miles is significant. I followed another members advice and went with KMC. I was expecting this over built chain with sexy fabrication, alas it's by appearance normal! I think you forgot to add a zero to you mileage numbers... less than 250 miles for chain replacement is not normal.
