I took all the sole off my left shoe a little bit agoIf that's the case, then there ya go. Maybe more armor is in order?
Hi,Does anyone know why all the sudden the brakes on my shengmilomx02s suck? I have to pump the crap out of them as fast as I can and hope I slow down a little bit before i wipe out. How do I fix it.
I got the bike new about 4 months ago. I just put 300 miles on it. Yesterday the brakes were fine, today they weren't. I was going down the steepest hill in town, which is steep, I pumped on them and there was nothing. They'd start to get a little pressure but barely anything. I had to pump them as fast as I could if I let loose of them for to long they'd loose all the pressure built up from the first 8 or 9 pumps. It's a good thing I didnt go down because I wouldnt have even tried to get up. I wouldve just laid there in a pile for the rest of my life.Hi,
Welcome to EBR. My two cents, but first a couple of questions. How old is the bike and did the brakes just suddenly fail or
did slowly get worse . No my two cents...
Brakes are not amateur night. Go to a shop, but don't be surprised if the shop isn't willing to work on no name Hydraulic brakes.
They may not be able to get parts and or because of the potential liability should the off brand brakes fail again.
For your safety, this troubles me that you've experienced a major brake failure.
Good luck and let us know the outcome,
John
Yes both failedBoth front and rear failed? If so, that seems very odd..
Yes, not all the way up side down, but on the back tire pushing it up hill.I know very little about hydraulic brakes, so take this for what it's worth. Have you turned the bike over for any reason? Whether or not, it sounds like you might have air in the lines, in which case you need to bleed the brakes and top of the fluid. YouTube can help, or take to to your bike shop. Don't guess about what kind of fluid to use. The reservoir should be labeled, or read the manual.
Look for brake fluid leaks too.

So the front wheel was up in the air, above the back wheel? Okay, why? Sounds to me like the brakes need bleeding. Depending on you mechanical ability, this is a routine maintenance thing to deal with, but if you aren't comfortable with the job, it should be fairly cheap to have done by a local bike shop. You have no choice, either way you have to get your brakes fixed or quit riding!Yes, not all the way up side down, but on the back tire pushing it up hill.

he bought it from amazon most likely.a tossed together Chinese bike.Good point about it being a new bike. Take it back to the dealer. It should be under warranty. Long-term, bleeding brakes is a routine job. Depending on your comfort level with simple mechanics, it is the kind of job that many people would do themselves.

Well then, back to taking it to a bike shop or doing it himself. I would do it myself but I understand that some people wouldn't be comfortable with that, which is fine. This is simple service either way.he bought it from amazon most likely.a tossed together Chinese bike.
