Nice bike but it looks like the guy that set it up forgot about cable management that usually gets done on Trek bikes. I suggest you take a photo, call the shop and ask them to tidy things up out front like they are in this photo of and 8S on the Trek web site. Ask them to finish the set up when it comes in next for adjustment.

I think I can handle that myself maybe later today. I need to raise the seat too.
But thanks, I didn't even notice the cables. We had issues with the phone mount so they swapped from another bike.

The hardest part for me was deciding which frame style. I picked stagger to give a bit more stand over room. And the single pannier bag works.

I ride a 9.9s The Allant is a great bike. If you find the hard tail a bit tough on the tush, I highly recommend a Kinekt Body Float suspension seat post. It makes a big difference when adjusted properly, which is easy to do by following the videos on their site.

Congrats on the bike. I have the 8s in the same color, but not the Stagger version. I love it, as I am sure you will too. I ride mine as a commuter. As Alaskan mentioned, the Kinekt seat post makes a huge difference. I have their handlebar stem too. Great investments.

Right now I will be very happy learning to ride again. I am over weight, by a lot, for this bike.
I am moving up from the trike in my avatar. The shop gave me ideas how to secure my cane to the bike.
Love hearing what other have done to theirs or experienced. Pictures are great too.
My shop knows bikes but not so much about the electric and electronics. I may learn more here.

You’re at the right site for information. If your LBS is open to learning great, if like my first LBS they’re not, move on like I did.
There are threads for specific brands, others for the merits of various upgrades like seat-posts and pedals, Also information/experiences overcoming specific disabilities.

If the objective is to have a reasonably roomy trunk bag on an Allant 8 or 9, the Rixen Kaul Contourmax has a one bolt mounting bracket that allows for a quick connect/disconnect for a bag the has its own frame built in. This is what I use on my Allant 9.9. It sits high enough such that one could use the built in pannier rails and this bag at the same time.

I have the same bike. If yours is medium them we have exactly the same bike. I have a few glitches with COBI but otherwise it is a great bike.
I just connected the bike and phone. Did updates and learned stuff.
Share your glitches, maybe someone can help.
