BIKTRIX REVIEW

Several friends and I purchased the Biktrix Juggernaut Duo bikes.

We found the motors were noisy due to a lack grease when assembled at the factory.

We maintain all our own bikes, so after the required Kms we removed the motors, took them apart and found there was very little grease applied to the gears.

The battery wires and the Dualizer wires are a cheap aluminum instead of good quality copper wire.

(Aluminum wire is very brittle and home builders stopped using aluminum wiring back in the early seventies)

And there is no option to purchase the 5 sensor wires as a package should they need to be replaced.

The only option is to purchase the controller in the motor at a price of $300.

It's pretty well documented on this forum as well as other places on the web that stock from the factory M620 motors are noisy.

How I dealt with my friends and mine was getting rid of the pitiful factory amount and replacing it with John Deere Cornhead grease that I saw suggested somewhere online. All we added was a healthy tblsp to the gear box and it has done as good a job as we could hope to quiet the motor down to a more than acceptable level. There are other grease options some swear by but can't imagine any working any better?

There is also a "quiet" gear that can be purchased and installed but it requires a motor recalibration which sounds like a total PITA, not to mention expensive.

Hi Thanks for the reply.
We used the Mobile cxxx when we greased our e-bikes.
If you need to make up the sensor leads DigiKey Canada carry the connectors and leads.
The power leads, I believe, can easily be made up using T&B spade connectors and copper wire.
The Dualizer can be replaced with a double pole double throw brake before make switch I you don’t want to spend the money on a dualizer.
