Best Source for Reworking a 10sp 11-46?

I don’t fully understand how to rework a cassette and have the derailleur still make the 46t cog if it’s moved outboard a couple gear spaces

I do not understand your question. What are you trying to do? What do you mean by "rework a cassette?"

Use only 7-8 gears out of the 10sp.Cassete. I need a better chainline so you put thise “unused” cigs behind the others, it moves the cassette out further for a better chainline

So you will still be using a 10 speed shifter? Not sure about SRAM's 10 speed cassettes, but on at least some models the cogs are held together with a single bolt. That bolt can be removed and you can use whichever cogs you want. So you could put some spacers on the body and then 7 or 8 cogs of any combination.

Using a Sunrace 11-46 . How will the derail work when you move the 46T cog outward 2-3 spaces?
