Battery storage for winter?? % charge?

Hi,
the owner's manual specifies on battery storage that the charge should not fall below 40%
However, it gives no guidance on max level of % charge for winter.

Almost all batteries suggest long term storage max of about 80%, for long battery life.

Suggestions?
New here so if has this been discussed already/ where ? Thanks

Recommended storage at 50-60%
Store it in cool place and make sure it is back to room temperature before using it.
