Hi everybody. My name is John. Originally from California, now living on a Greek island. I just built-up my first ever electric bike. Well, I didn't, my awesome local bike shop did. I am an old "roadie" who loves steel. :) Anyway, after almost 40 years I'm riding again. Yay. I am finding that the battery that is currently on the bike is way to big (and, heavy) for the type of riding I do. Can anybody suggest a bottle cage battery that would work with my bike system...which of course I don't know the name of. lol I'll reach-out to my bike shop tomorrow to find-out. Some photos below of my bike. I have since moved up the battery and have fitted a bottle cage on the seat-tube. The frame is made by Shand Cycles up in the UK. It's in Lamborghini Sunburst 🧡 Orange, a modern shout-out to my favorite cyclist Eddy Merckx, and with extra sparkles because I'm a Californian! 😂 Thanks for any advice/help/suggestions.

Knowing the voltage would be nice. It seems your bike has a mid drive motor,

Small battery means small rides too, Users want to ride forever. Who wants a 20 mile battery, You can buy bottle batteries like this 36V pswpower model, but it is not much smaller than what you already have, Here's a shorter one from the same store.

If you need 48V, they get bigger, like this model.

If you want to get smaller, you have to do it yourself or find someone to build it for you. Talking about 36V5AH and 48V5AH packs, about as small as you want to go, and still have enough power to run a bike,

If you are new to ebikes, get use to it. On your bike, the battery looks nicely sized.

There are monsters out there:

Thanks so much for your reply @harryS. I appreciate it. 🙏 I really like the smaller 36V pswpower model you mention. I am such a lazy rookie with ebikes, I still don't know what exact system I have. lol I haven't had time to reach-out to my bike shop guy yet. I'll do my best to get that info tomorrow. I understand small batteries mean less assisted distance, but my riding style uses very little of the battery on my current set-up. I'd really like to explore a battery that's half, or less, the size I have now and see how I like it. Thanks again for your reply. Cheers. 👊
