Hi guys! I was recently contacted by an individual who wanted to improve the security of their battery for a 2014/2015 Zuma (this also applies to the 2014/2015 Metro).
Currie made a really interesting decision with these ebikes to have quick release on the pack and quick release on the seat post (which actually inserts into the pack... acting like a seat tube). This design decision makes taking the pack off the bike easy for charging but also makes it more vulnerable to tampering if left on the bike due to the quick release... So, to address this, Currie has made available an optional hex wrench bolt that you can buy or you could probably make something similar with parts from your local hardware store.
This part took some digging to locate and I felt like sharing here since others might be in a similar position (wanting to lock their battery pack to the bike more securely). It's a basic pinned torx bolt and wrench kit. Most dealers should be able order this or you can call into the customer service line at Currie here (800) 915-4532, the part costs ~$20 USD. Also, here's a link to the dealer support site with more info on the Zuma models.
