When I look at the safety standards that my Vado 4 2022 bike meets, I can read UK CA CE on the battery and charger despite having bought it in Canada. This bike which I purchased new in August 2022 therefore meets European standards, but does it meet Canadian UL CSA standards ? no such info in the manual or on the battery/charger.
Should I be concerned about its legality in Canada or are these European certifications transferable?
I live in a condo, and I fear that more and more, our personal insurance and even that of the co-ownership, ask us to prove this fact. Specialized eBike owners on this site, are these the same standards that are listed on your battery/ charger, ie UK CA CE or does it mention the correct certifications for your country?
