Pedago is going under. They are essentially over priced cadence sensor hub drives from 10 years ago. To local walk-ins only, I sell exactly the desired bike you describe. It has a Brose motor with an understated nominal watt level to meet EU standards. But isn't watts really a measure of consumption, not power delivery anyway? Would you buy a 1971 F150 truck over a new Toyota just because it burns fuel at a higher rate? This bike you describe has a Brose belt motor to a Gates belt drive delivering 90Nm plus you to a Enviolo AUTOMATiQ Pro shifting interface hub. It is called a Como 5.0 IGH. It is so very smooth, quiet, and refined. It is exactly what my good friend should have invested in. His Stromer motor consumes more energy faster and his bike has a bigger battery, and that does not in anyway imply better. It is more like an old truck with a big wasteful motor and huge fuel tank than something refined, balanced, and efficient.Agreed with PedalUma. Stromer is a good name-brand. However, getting support is a big issue. If you're in Europe where Stromer is more recognized, that's one thing. If you're in the USA, Stromer is a niche, high-end choice. I LOVE the thought of the Gates belt drive, but haven't seen it on a bike that even remotely tickles my fancy. Now, if someone can offer a rugged belt drive on a Bosch mid-drive w/ full suspension and 85+ nm of torque, now we're on to something.
Some time we should discuss bikes that try too hard to be Butch, to compensate for the owner's lack of something else.
