And, so it begins, price cuts, inventory, the next phase?

While in Florida this year on my Florida Vado 4.0, I continued to on occasion go to Conte's Bike Shop in Ft. Lauderdale for this, for that, to look, to get, etc.
I am on their mailing list, and I got this notice today.
Pretty interesting that they are selling used e-bikes at very heavily discounted prices.
A lot to digest, but opportunity or the future, suspense (what's next) or life.
Just thought I'd share. And they have a ton of locations on the East Coast.

Wow! Those are great prices! I would have jumped on the Como 4.0 if it was a Small. I live in a very small town out here in California's Central Valley so I don't have much opportunity to see what is going on in any of the urban centers around me (SF Bay Area, Monterey, Sacramento). I will be over in Monterey for a conference in mid-July and I always stop by Workhorse Bikes when I am there, so that will be my chance I have to see what's up on this side of the country.

Expect significant discounts on new ebikes too. I was reading recently someone in the industry saying the bottom had dropped out of the used ebike market. I know from the folks I talk to in the industry that a LOT of unsold inventory is in the pipeline and you can expect a lot of discounting as a result. Specialized has already started.

Wow. I am suddenly regretting my recent purchase of a new Vado SL 4.0. I would have bought that 2021 4.0 EQ in a heartbeat. I thought I won myself a great deal at $2499 new. Oh well.

Edit: I am still tempted to pick up that medium Vado 4.0 EQ for $1650 shipped....that is a screaming deal.

Edit Edit: LOL I wish I had not seen this post!

Trek is discounting new as well.

As a side note. It would be rather interesting to know (I can and may check) if the bike shop(s) selling the used e-bikes have service records, mileage, battery life/history~charges, etc.
Like a Bike-Fax.
Otherwise...it might be a crap shoot.
Reason I say this is because I've now had 4 or 5 Specialized e-bikes, and there has never been any "history" associated with any service visits or other LBS related interventions that one might think that the 'history' of anything would be reflected in those records. As in Mission Control, "Service Logs".

Agreed 100%. At a bare minimum these bikes have a built in electronic "odometer" which can quickly and easily be checked.
That said....if it has high miles it would make you weary......and if it has low miles you would worry about how/if the battery was maintained.
