I see that they are back again, I won't be riding thru them,
as the roads get slicker than snot, on a brass door knob,
when they are crossing a roadway......
I have a hard enough time keeping the dust off my bikes now....

Still have PTSD after driving an RV up a steep, twisty cricket-paved mountain road in Dinosaur National Monument ca. 2004. Yuck in every respect — especially the sound and smell driving over them, just like in the video.

Wife and kids were tired and hungry and cranky by then and didn't want to go to that canyon overlook in the first place. The last straw came when the crickets crashed the view picnic I'd promised them at the top.

So naturally the crickets were my fault.

My wife is Hispanic and she has an old superstition of it being bad luck to kill a cricket on accident or purpose. I have to capture it if one gets into the house and let it go outside. Not sure how that got started; but, my suspicions are the crickets started this superstition?

Uh-oh, just how much bad luck are we talking about? Must've run over zillions in our Mormon cricket encounter.
