Alternative brands for accesories?

I love my Benno, but the price of rate add-ons is driving me crazy. For instance, I'd love a front basket, but im seeing prices of over $200 for a front basket.

This is a common problem with many bike brands that sell proprietary accessories. Using aftermarket handlebar mount products, as mentioned above, is a much cheaper option.

If you like to use different bags or baskets like I do, another idea it to buy just a handlebar mount and separate clip plates. They can be attached to almost any bag or basket and are easily swapped to suit your needs. I use these from Arkel:

And then fasten a set of these clips to whatever bag or basket you want to use:

I even attached a set to an old milk crate to carry bulky items.

Which Benno do you have? There's a couple different front basket/rack options and a few of them are on sale. Did you have your eye on one in particular? Happy to check pricing for ya, message me for more info if you'd like!

I chose the Benno knowing how much the accessories are and ouch. I was also considering the Xtracycle and their accessories were a lot less expensive. Don't know myself it they would fit on but you could check it out.
