Very first ride with my wife. Far away from home, her iGo eBike posts error code 2 and stops working. After many calls to iGo, we learn that it's a known factory problem. We had to bring it to Montreal an wait 5 weeks (midsummer) because the part was not available (China probably).
And now it's my turn. Same scenario with Error code 1 this time (major failure). Again the part is missing. Already been waiting 5 weeks ad still not available. The part cost is 200-300$ (already billed but not delivered). Plus labor cost to completely dismantle the bike to install the new "controller". Total estimate cost 500-600$.
All together we used our bikes for approximately 2000 km.
We will never recommend iGo bikes because most of the time you can't ride them. Our main activity is to wait for mysterious missing parts and raise money to pay for repairs.
