Now I do expect the chain skipping on the worn cassette sprockets

well youre wrong Stefan it was only skipping on 10 of the cogs, first gear was fine.Now I do expect the chain skipping on the worn cassette sprockets

Chris, I have rebuilt the big Vado cassette with replaceable sprockets for several times (and was always replacing a worn chain well before the cassette wore out). Lately, I installed a new chain and it turned out as many as seven of eleven sprockets were worn. What a pleasure it was to install a brand new cassette, which was awaiting for months for that honour!well youre wrong Stefan it was only skipping on 10 of the cogs, first gear was fine.

Good work, Charge. Was the prior chain popping out gears on you? You sure do use the HaiBike “aggressively.”

That's why many riders prefer to replace the chain very rarely, and when they do, they replace the cassette as well. That is valid for inexpensive drivetrains, of course. If you saw the price of a top-end SRAM or Shimano cassette (these are not serviceable) you would understand why owners of these religiously replace the chain as soon as it went past the 0.5% mark Chargeride
