Went for a 20km ride today, but I didn't take any pics. I had to keep moving to stay warm, as it was 8c with a stiff breeze and a feels like temp of 4c. No doubt about it: fall is here and winter is coming.
Chris, I have rebuilt the big Vado cassette with replaceable sprockets for several times (and was always replacing a worn chain well before the cassette wore out). Lately, I installed a new chain and it turned out as many as seven of eleven sprockets were worn. What a pleasure it was to install a brand new cassette, which was awaiting for months for that honour!
Usually, a worn chain fits the worn sprockets That's why many riders prefer to replace the chain very rarely, and when they do, they replace the cassette as well. That is valid for inexpensive drivetrains, of course. If you saw the price of a top-end SRAM or Shimano cassette (these are not serviceable) you would understand why owners of these religiously replace the chain as soon as it went past the 0.5% mark
