A pic from today's 23km ride:

Well maybe if you got an email ten minutes after you pay saying the toilet is in a greenhouse in the backgarden and you try ringing booking.com and a robot just reads the riot act to you and terminates the call, you might have an issue.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't ridden in over a month. Today I decided to break out the Cannondale and see if I could check out the OSV trail at Nauset Beach in Orleans. The last time I tried, a Ranger kicked me out.

40 miles, Off/Eco/Tour. Single 625Wh battery. Remaining charge, 52%.

It was a beautiful 72 degree day here on the Cape, but with strong 10-20mph winds from the southwest. This gave me a bit of a tailwind on the way out, with a cross on the right. I started off doing 2 miles in Off to wake my legs up from their late summer slumber. I spent the rest of the way out to Orleans alternating between Off and Eco. On the way back, the wind was fierce, so I kept switching between Off, Eco, and Tour. I rode the last 2 miles in Off, just because. Suffering leads to progress.

I took a break to stop at Seymour's Pond in Brewster, a spring fed fresh water pond with trails around it.

I ran across another rider in Orleans on his analog race bike. We rode together for a bit before I tailed off to head to the beach. I shut the motor off to be nice :)

The lifeguard stands have been moved to their winter storage place at the back of the parking lot near the entrance to the OSV trail. I didn't take any pictures of me failing to ride the loose sand. It would take an aired down fattie to ride through it.

The Tesoro before I turned around to head home. I'm physically beat but mentally refreshed, if that makes sense.

Another seductive beautiful morning where my right leg says to me "don't mind the limp and spasms last night, it was all a misunderstanding. Let's ride." I went deeper into the hinterlands than I have in a year.
The cornfield with the harvester I posted last week on Bienvenue RD.

a few turns later on Vontay RD I looked for an old farmer I was acquainted with. Nothing in his pasture. His house...

As Vontay bled into Octagon Church RD I stopped for a rest at a familiar place

Further on I passed the only church I was ever banned from the premises.

I was struck by the many new houses, and then on the last leg of my ride on Pony Farm RD...this transformation of a bean field since my ride by a year ago.

What rating does this property have? No guest reviews?
Anyway, off to Northumberland, Holy Island, Farne Islands, Bamburgh.
Staying in Seahouses, going to try for three castles in one ride , 50 miles.
Might see Vikings
A lovely area! Been there. Bamburgh and Lindisfarne are beautiful! Watch out the tide!
Besides, I heard the band Lindisfarne before I learned of the island itself :)

My wonky back and mind have the same ongoing "misunderstanding." I guess they are not on board with the latest in neuroplasticity. I won't ask about the banning from church premises or this forum's group will be off on another tangent that may or may not include biking.

Torn between two shores, lovely song by Neil Diamond about a deaf chair.
Are you atop a dune, surrounded by high tide?
