For those of you who have done this 11-34 freewheel change--- is it worth the investment?. I would have a bicycle shop install this and i dont ride with too many hills here and seem to ride mostly in 5th gear with pas of 3.Any feedback would be appreciated. guessing bike shop would charge 60 to 100$ plus cost of flywheel.

I have done this to three Lectric Xp bikes. I feel it’s one of the best mods you can do. The bike becomes way easier and more comfortable to ride be it slow or fast. Make sure you remove the washer behind the original freewheel and leave it out. The replacement 11 tp 34 is slightly offset differently and doesn’t require it.

I have read alot of folks go to 11/28, is 11/34 better for both high speed and big hills at the same time? Stock is 14/28 correct? I found these two by Drift Maniac on Amazon:
11-13-15-18-21-24-34
11-13-15-18-21-24-28

YES😊 it is a huge 100% improvement... It's way easier to pedal at slow speeds.. I definetly recommend 11-34....cause 11-28 is only a 50% improvement

Ya I found I ran out of steam on a big steep hill and I am peddling like a hamster on a wheel trying to go faster :D

11-34 is what this bike should have come with too begin with. Buy the tool and do it yourself. Turn the bike upside down.. It's easy just remember to remove the washer under the original freewheel..

Do i order a freewheel not a cassete and what brand is ok. for a six speed ?? bicycle shop can do it for 10$ and also thinking of putting the mks fd=7 folding pedals on at same time

There must be a thousand videos on how much of an improvement changing the freewheel makes. Why do you suppose that after 2 years and 30,000 bikes later...Lectric refuses to make this change on new models? It surely can't be cost.

Cause for the people that aren't on this forum usually don't care or know. Also Shimano derailer on these bikes recommends the freewheel that's supplied. Even though they work absolutely fine with the wider ratios.

Bicycle lore says Shimano dropped the 11T variants because they couldn't get the teeth to last. The quality difference between DNP and Shimano has been debated for many years on bike forums. When I switched to DNP's, I noted that most complaints came from hard core riders wearing them out, and I figured ebike usage would be easy on them.

I just wore the pawls out on a DNP 11-28 after 3090 miles, on a 35 pound ebike that rarely got over 14 mph. I guess that's why the QA people don't like them. For me, thirty bucks for a new one and I can change it faster than I can change the tire so it's worth it.

I've found that I like the Raceface ones better than DNP. Perhaps just perception but they seem to shift smoother.
It really depends on how many and how steep the hills you ride are but after trying a few I ended up liking the 13 - 28 best. I can take most of the hills I encounter in second/24t

just got the 11-34 freewheel change and also changed the pedals to the mks fd-7 folding pedals and both work great---WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! Our local bicycle shop charged me 15$ to change freewheel, pedals, adjust brakes and basic tuneup. Same shop just converted my wife's suncycle trike to electic with even a reverse gear.Cant wait for spring here in michigan-snow freezing rain tomorrow but got to ride at 38 degrees yesterday. I would have to say changing seatpost, freewheel and pedals are best three mods imho.
