Stromer still viable in the USA?

The main thing I like about the Stromer bikes are their silent running. Geared motors always gives some motor noise. I just saw some YouTube videos of the Easy Motion Nitro City (since it is mentioned in earlier posts in this tread) and it is definitely noisy. Not very, but still produce noise...

Stromer st1 Platinum battery issues or display issues?

This is a 36 volt battery, so when the multimeter shows 41.5 volt it means the battery should be close to fully charged. Usually the charger stops charging at 42 volts. As the battery get discharged the voltage will drop. When it reaches 30 volt the BMS will shut down the battery to save it from...

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

The crank arm length might be different. I know that on the ST1 17" model the crank arm length is 170 mm wheras on the 20" model the length is 175 mm.

    Actual Range on ST1?

I usually use eco mode, but the range is much influenced by the torque sensor sensitivity setting. If I use a setting of 50, I get about 120 km / 75 miles. If I use the max setting of 90, I get about 100 km / 62 miles. This is in the Netherlands (southern province of Limburg) where the landscape...

    Actual Range on ST1?

I also have a ST1 2014 model with a 522Wh battery. I sent it to a company that refurbishes batteries. They replaced the 2900 mAh cells with new 3500 mAh cells to get a 630 Wh battery. This cost € 525. This is in the Netherlands so the 21% VAT is included in this price. It should be cheaper in...

    ST1 Knocking - Solution?

I have had the same on my ST1. The bearings in the cassette is worn out. There should be no wobble. Changing the cassette will solve it. Bring the wheel to a bike shop. It takes only a minute for them to change the cassette.

    Issue with a Strömer st1

The Stromer ST1 is fully reprogrammable. One can programme the 500W motor to give a 250W nominal effect (code 1007). Code 3773 makes it possible to set the max speed. Maybe it is possible to set a higher max speed using this code on the Mountain 25.

Assistance levels 2 to 4 makes no difference – Stromer ST1

I have found a solution to the missing difference in strength between the 4 different levels of assist I had on my Stromer ST1. The solution is code 1007. This code has two settings, 0 and 1. My ST1 had the setting 1. I switched to 0 and suddenly all 4 levels were available. Switching to 1, the...

    Stromer ST1 codes

Regarding code 1007. I found that when switching to 1 the 4 assist levels are turned off. There is no difference in the strength of assist between levels 1,2,3, or 4 on the controller display. It feels like the level of assist corresponds to level 3 in strength. When switching back to 0, all the...
