mid-drive torque is turning my rear wheel

I did clean up the drop out but it still wasn't gripping that well. Forgot to mention that I had to widen the rear dropouts to support a 135mm wheel so that may also be a factor. Anyways, I got the chain tensioners and they seem to do a good job holding the wheel in place. Now I can easily...

    Best ebike repair stand

With dual motors on my radwagon, my cargo bike is easily over 120 lbs without batteries. I usually lift up the rear of the bike and sit it on 2 floor jacks; one on each side of the side platforms. It lets the rear wheel spin making it easy to work on the rear brakes and test it. The front...

    E-bike motor noisea

I thought about wrapping my geared hub with this sound deadening foam adhesive. Basically wrapping around the center of the hub covering most of the surface area. Problem is that I would have to buy 36 sq feet of it...

    suspension fork up grade

When they say 28.6 mm, its 1-1/8 size. Some people just round up when they list it. For headsets, you'll need to measure the frame headtube width. This headset for sale shows how do to that (5th image). You'll also need a new threadless stem. I'm assuming your existing stem is the quill...

    Adding a front suspension

I have that fork on my Specialized Rockhopper 29. Its an air fork but a coil rebound I believe. The rebound is a lever that allows you to switch from fast to slow. That I was a bit disappointed with. Also, you lose the bolt at the top of the fork for fenders or lights. Suntour puts a hole...

    Help Me Upgrade My E-bike

The Surly Wednesday bike is a fat tire bike you may want to check out. Its not an ebike but should have no problems taking a BBS02 or HD. The bike ($1800) + BBSHD ($670 at Luna) + (52v 28ah panasonic battery $1025) = $3495. with 1456 watts available for towing, that should be enough to tow...

QUESTION ABOUT 8FUN 48V 750W BAFANG REAR HUB

That battery looks like it uses a deans style (T-Plug) connector. You'll need to find an adapter so it matches up with what the controller is using (or change the connector on the controller/battery yourself. Just be careful if your working on the battery leads. You don't want them to touch)...

QUESTION ABOUT 8FUN 48V 750W BAFANG REAR HUB

You probably need this extension cable to work with that hub motor. Whether that display will work will depend on the controller your using. The cables from the display ro the controller is not the same as the cable going from the motor to controller. Below is probably similar to what your...

mid-drive torque is turning my rear wheel

Yes, its steel. I always check the gap between the frame and rear wheel before each ride. I usually keep PAS at 2 out of 5 and always pedal and never throttle. I use a 38t chainring so its pretty easy for me to get going from a start. I don't feel the motor helping until maybe a few feet...

mid-drive torque is turning my rear wheel

For now, I just loosen the centering bolts on the rear dropouts and pulled the wheel back some. That give me a little more room near the cranks.

mid-drive torque is turning my rear wheel

I have a mid-drive unit that I have hooked up to my vintage bike. Sometimes I notice the rear axle has moved causing the wheel to be a bit to the left (side opposite the chainring). I replaced the rear quick release with a bolt on skewer but that doesn't seem to be enough to keep it from...

    New to E-Bikes,

No, there isn't a standard yet. If the battery was used in the kit, then connectors from the controller to the battery should match up. Most DIY batteries have 2 leads coming out (red/black) that hook up to the controller.

    Show Us a Tool

After getting this battery pump, I've stopped using my bicycle pumps. I also use it for my autos. Now I check tire pressures more. I have Schwalbe Marathon 700C tires and they are so stiff that pressing down on the tire doesn't tell you anything. I thought it was up to pressure but measured...

    New to E-Bikes,

The battery is a Unit Power brand that I've seen in Amazon which comes in 36v, 48v or 52v. The power supply marked "54.6v" is the output voltage for a 48v power supply. I also mark my power supplies so I don't grab the wrong one. I would take a look at the hub and see if it says 500 watts...

    Aftermarket peddle needed

For my local errand bike and folding bike, I use cruiser style/city platform pedals with a wide surface area. They provide good support without damaging your shoes. For my commuter cargo bike, where I could be riding in rough weather, I use platform pedals with screws for grip. (raceface...

    full suspension e-bike - 29" standover height

Looking at some of the owners on YouTube, it looks like they all have a standard Bafang thumb throttle. Luna also sells grips that come with the right twist throttle. I have it on a BBSHD kit but, it's too hard to control the bike if your jumping while trying not to twist the throttle. I...
