E-bike motor noisea

I have a radmini4, 500 watt geared motor. The noise is not noticeable in the city, but on a quiet road it is. It's loud. There anyway to reduce noise or silence these motors? Would One have to build an enclosure around it? Or just buy a quitter motor?

Ear buds and music will make motor noise go away. No motor will be silent.

Yeah, I can hear my motor(s) too (Specialized SL, and a Bosch before that). I’d prefer that they be silent, and I do notice them from time to time, but I can accept that’s not reality. After all, it’s a box of gears in motion. Maybe someday they’ll figure out how to silence them, but for now I’m happy they are so efficient and helpful. I empathize though.

I thought about wrapping my geared hub with this sound deadening foam adhesive. Basically wrapping around the center of the hub covering most of the surface area. Problem is that I would have to buy 36 sq feet of it.

Not knowledgeable at all on ebike motors, but I'd do some research before covering a motor with sound deadning material. Most are also pretty good thermo insulators and you don't want an overheating motor.
