2016 Turbo S tires are too wide for fender and rack kit!

@John Dombrowski: What I meant with my post was that if you have to have guards, the city kit sure looks sleek but it does not do the job of guarding your feet from the mud, so they are pretty useless. It never rains in San Diego?

How many gears do you use?

I ride in Eco40 and I normally use gears 3-8. If I use regen, I use even 1-2 in uphills (exercise).

2016 Turbo S tires are too wide for fender and rack kit!

I thought the Turbo S comes with 45 mm tires. But I agree with Allan, the mud guards are more for decoration than anything else. The front guard needs at least 10 cm more in the lower end and there should be more clearance overall. And another thing that I don't like is the attachments close to...

    Brakes still squeaking

Why would there be a need to have a heat sink. I mean the brakes can't heat that much in normal riding. Maybe if you come down a high mountain for miles and are constantly braking, but even then what does it matter if the brakes get "red".

Already the 45s are pretty tight. The studded tires I have 42. Studs take some additional space.

    2015/2016 Base Turbo Startup Issue

Make a video of it. But I think the dealer should take your word for it and there really should not be a need for videos.

    2015/2016 Base Turbo Startup Issue

@kermit_xc Take it back? I mean, the bike should work as advertised even if it was a 300$ bike.

    2013 Turbo Experiences

After about 4500 - 5000 km on odo I checked the battery condition with the diagnostic software. My current odometer reading is not accurate as in the beginning the odometer kept resetting. Also, I bought the bike used so I have no idea how many km the bike had when I got it. Anyways, at least...

    Charging issue.

@John Dombrowski When they did the fw update, did they check the battery health %. If it was less than 100, I would already based on that demand a replacement battery. My battery has already about 3000 miles on it and it is a MY13 and only now it is starting to show some minor signs of "aging"...

    odometer has reset...

I borrowed the diagnostic device and got the necessary software from the dealer and did it myself. But mine is MY13, so anything newer should not have this issue. Or could it be that they only produced this patch for the MY13 but did not fix it in the newer firmware version.

    Base Turbo battery rattle

My BB also makes a crackling sound when under load like in uphills. Really annoying.

    odometer has reset...

An odometer reset should not happen by accident very easily. I haven't had a reset after I updated the firmware.

    odometer has reset...

The MY13 Turbo had a software bug that reset the odo and other meters frequently. But as there was a fix later that should not be a problem in the newer Turbos.

    Trouble turning turbo on

Could try the reset procedure; - Turn battery off - Remove battery - Turn on, wait 5 sec, turn off again - Install battery - Turn battery on I've noticed that after longer periods of time I need to press the power button the 2 seconds as is said in the manual, but if I come back in like...

Do the dealers sell touchup paint for the Turbo's?

This is not helping JD, but for the ones who own a red bike, this is the info I got from Specialized: the colour code should be 1945 CS in the Pantone matching system.

There is a small hatch in the bottom bracket that needs to be opened to get to the adjustment screw.

Fender and Rack kit for Turbo

I tried the Brooks leather flap in front but it was too thick to install. Still looking for a front guard flap - open to suggestions. The front mud guard is useless in terms of protecting the feet from getting wet.

    Turbo hauling a kid trailer

I had a Chariot with my normal bike but I don't think you could attach it to a through axle attachment. And the child seats that are installed in the seat post probably wont work because of the angular form of the post. BTW, I think 200W are all the power you are going to need; after all, you...

    Turbo motor / wheel upgrade

I dont know if the software has been written so that it recognizes which motor should be connected to and refuses to work if a correct motor type is not found. On the other hand, both are limited to 28 mph, so if it works, you'd be able to maintain the top speed more easily. You would also drain...
