    STROMER 2020 CONCEPT BIKE

I love my Stromer but I do think they will need to reduce the weight to stay competitive. I am a big guy and it isn’t easy to move around.

    Cogging? Resistance at strange times.

I’ve just been leaving my bike on the stock settings. Works well. Shifting down a gear works in some situations. For example, if I am going up a hill and slow significantly or stop I make sure to down shift and that makes the acceleration feel much smoother. Not sure that makes sense.

Stromer ST1 Limited 3-Year Recap + Good Accessories

Nice to see a positive review. The Stromer forum has a lot of negativity (imo).

Why Not to buy a Stromer ?

Since one of the comments is mine let me be the first to respond. The cogging is what happens with these DD motors with regen and I wasn’t aware due to being new to the bike. Cogging at 25 mph is normal due the settings I had set up. Again, I was new to the bike and didn’t know what was happening.

    Cogging? Resistance at strange times.

Shop The shop says the amount of resistance is normal for the bike. Now if only the GPS was working. Shop says the latest software update messed it up and Stromer needs to fix it. That may kill it for me.

New Stromer owner. App broken or am I stupid?

I am going to. Still deciding whether or not to keep the bike and if they can't get the GPS up and running it may kill the deal. The cogging may not be as big an issue as I thought. Super fun to ride and as an electric car driver I really appreciate the regenerative breaking.

    Over50's Trek Allant 9.9s Chronicles

I think the DD hub motors shift smoother because they don’t put as much pressure on the chain and derailleur. That was my impression after riding a Stromer and a Vado back to back.

New Stromer owner. App broken or am I stupid?

I've had mine for a week and the app. still doesn't know where the bike is and one of the most supportive Stromer dealers in the US did know the answer and were calling a Stromer Tech for me. We'll see if it gets fixed. Again, gps is one of the biggest selling points of these bikes and if it...

    Why buying a Stromer?

Yes, but it can’t be this pronounced.

    Why buying a Stromer?

Air resistance? It’s mechanical. As soon as I stop pedaling at any speed. Is that normal?

    Why buying a Stromer?

Hi, I have a lot of resistance when I am not pedaling my brand new ST1X. if am not pedaling the bike immediately start slowing significantly. Is that normal for a Stromer? Really annoying to think that I may have to pedal at all times except on steeper hills. Thanks

    Cogging? Resistance at strange times.

The resistance at 25 mph is because of the settings that are in the app (I am new to the bike). That being said, the resistance I feel when I stop pedaling is really annoying and I don't remember that when I test road the bike. I was slowing down on a decent little hill this evening. Basically...

    Cogging? Resistance at strange times.

The ST1 X I picked up yesterday seems to have a fair amount of resistance (cogging?) when I stop pedaling and sometimes when I am pedaling. Tonight when I went out for a ride I noticed this happening at different times. At some points in the ride it seemed to happen whenever the bike hit 25 mph...

New Stromer owner. App broken or am I stupid?

I think a lot of us are in the same boat. I picked my bike up yesterday and the location hasn't been updated. The shop says that the software needs an update. One of the biggest selling points on these bike is the GPS in case the bike is stollen and it doesn't work. Bummer.

New ST1-X brake sensor and general feeling

I just picked up the same model. I have noticed that there is what I have heard described as "cogging" when I stop pedaling and sometimes when I am pedaling. Not sure if it is the same issue you are describing but it is annoying because otherwise I love the bike.
