I have refused all scooters for two years. They are made by marketing departments and not by people who work in things. For example you cannot adjust the inside brake pad because the motor is in the way. To try to get a solid tire on you have to microwave it in water and will be covered is sweat. It is such a pain.

I hear ya. It's not my shop, I only work there 2 days/wk.

e-scooters are an example of a technology pushed into areas it doesn't belong. Where does it belong? On bikeways and speed restricted inner urban streets I would suggest. Not out in the suburbs among the traffic, and certainly not on sidewalks. Side "Walks"

There are guys doing 40 mph in traffic on the streets with scooters and these insane unicycles. At least two have stopped, vanished. Perhaps they had a meeting with Darwin, holding Karma's hand with Hades approaching from behind.

Bought the park tool brake mount truing tool. Have done 3 aluminum post mounts and 1 steel flat mount so far, have concluded it is not machine shop quality but better than what comes out of the factory. And adjusting the caliper to the disc comes out much better and easier and quicker with no pad rubbing. Hard to justify it cost wise but the satisfaction of having something operate like it should is worth something.

The first one took a while to get the familiarity of how it worked, after that it is probably a 45' job wheel removal to wheel install.

Had to get a new saw as my little one was too pathetic. I had to replace the rails on my porch and stairs, and this was great to saw the nails on the rails. I had to hit the rail a little to get space fr the blade, and man, only took a few minutes to saw them all off. Took my angle grinder and sanded the screws and nails sticking up flush. Had to fix all the loose posts; they were so wobbly. Took up too much time, and I could not ride Saturday. I didn't ot want to replace them again so I used ipe.

With all that rain it is good that you put in the anti-grinding surface on top to keep the skateboarders away.
