Beautiful! Where was that? Respectably hilly at average gain of 93 ft per mile.
Columbia river gorge in Oregon from Troutdale Glenn Otto park east to Bridal Veil falls and back. I had planned to ride futher east but there was construction delays past Bridal Veil. There are some steep grades, thankful for ebike assist on the climbs and a heavy ebike makes for thrilling downhill runs (up to 40 mph) and switchback hairpin curves. I've ridden in the gorge dozens of times on regular bikes but so much more enjoyable on an ebike.

Gorgeous day yesterday. Met my buddy that I sold my 2019 Fathom E to at the Mud Bay parking lot. We were originally expecting another friend to be there with the Gazelle Arroyo C8 he bought on Thursday, but he couldn't make it.
No matter, another time...
We weren't really sure how far we'd go, as it was my friend's first ride this year. So with no clear goal in mind, off we set...
Stopped for a little water about 3/4 of the way along the path, and as expected we kept on rollin'...
At the end of the path we kept going into Beach Grove, where we stopped at a local cafe. This location is a favourite stop for cyclists to refuel and enjoy with a snack and coffee etc... Today there were numerous bikes parked, and all but one were ebikes! Enjoyed a nice sit down with an ice cream cone...
Tide was way out again today...
Finished off the water on the way back. Great to see the Fathom pumping out the kms still. He loves it!
Time to part ways...

Wrapping up a fun Coast Highway ride with neighbor D on a gorgeous Easter Sunday, and what do we spot on the bluff next to the road?
A band playing to the ocean.
Felt like we'd just stumbled onto a music video set.
Asked one of the keyboard guys what the occasion was. "We need an occasion on a day like this??" he said with a big smile. Turns out, they come out here to play every other weekend.
They've been playing together for a year but just recently gave themselves a name and logo.
Hung around for 3 songs and gabbed with the band in the long breaks in between. That's D with my bike. Turns out the singer on the left and I share a fondness for yellow.
God, I love this place!

Final update on our local dinosaur population
As previously reported here and here, a frequent ride stop — the Camp Store at the South Carlsbad State Beach Campground — became infested with dinosaurs a few weeks ago. Animatronic dinosaurs, that is.
The dino models were installed and activated over 2 weeks. These 2 household names were the last to come on line.
The T. Rex, clearly the star of the show, had the most credible — and most threatening — movements. No telling what these monsters really sounded like. Could've been like Alvin the Chipmunk for all we know, but the designers went with long, deep lion-like roars.
The Camp Store's evil scheme was clearly working this day. The surrounding picnic area was packed with families gobbling up snacks and pizzas, and the kids were running up to creatures who would have seen them as nothing more than tasty hors d'oeuvres.
The very clever dino eggs got the most attention by far, and did so with no audio or moving parts. Had to wait a good 10 minutes to get my turn. The designers clearly didn't have old guys in bike helmets in mind.

Quick 27kms today. Weather is getting really nice. First day with short sleeves and sun screen!
Hadn't headed north for a long time so off I went north bound on River road...
Near the bottom of Scott Rd is a long string of numerous auto wreckers...
A lonely Byrd rental bike close to the Fraser river...
A real dive bar/RV park called Brownsville Pub...
Nearby park called Brownsville Bar Park. Sand bars, not the dive bar...
Here you can make out the new bridge being built to replace the old Patullo bridge. Mid section coming soon...
Here's an even divyer dive bar... If you don't like your teeth, it's a great place to start the replacement process...
Looking back down a nastly hill I just went up...

There are 18,000 FCBs in the US, with 80+ over navigable waters. Few have protected piers.

We are without a doubt a city of bridges. As of yet I have seen no failure due to a strike. Would love to see a list of FCB bridges here though...

prachtige foto’s en ook in Nederland is het mooi weer, ik ga vanmorgen 50 km fietsen in de Utechtse Heuvelrug.Koffie in de Brooks tas en even hoofd leeg maken.
Ik krijg het niet voor elkaar om mijn foto’s te plaatsen die ik met mijn Apple maak …… zo jammer groter dan 2 m’n.

I just upload them to a free image compression site, it takes seconds.
This site could do it themselves
But yeah it takes up cpu and data, it might be on the to do list.
My picture climbing the hill was reduced to 80kb and still looks OK for a forum
