Specialized Creo 2 owners

Welcome to the forum! I just ordered a Turbo Creo2 Comp E5 this morning. I have been watching the Specialized website daily waiting for inventory to be available and today they had my size in a 56 available so I pulled the trigger. I hope that I enjoy it as much as other riders of it do. How has your experience with it been so far vado5.Oslcreo2 ?

Awesome day in Ohio on the Ohio to Erie trail

Have purchased a new Creo 2 Turbo, all good so far with the exception of the saddle. I have a few in inventory which I am in the process of trying.
1) Original OE Seat, was terrible
2) Brooks Swift, sore after 10K
3) Brooks C17 was quite good
4) nee to try my Selle Italia Max, narrower than the Brooks, but served me well over the years.

I realize that sit bone and degree of bending are major contributors, but would like to get some input of what others have done on the saddle side.

I have a brooks C17 on my Salsa Vaya - love it. It should work on the Creo, similar high stack and drops. But it is horses for courses, have a new bike and struggling to find a saddle that feels right. Tried the C17 on it but my position is more upright & flat bars on that one so it didn't work. Currently trying the Spesh Power Comp saddle and it's ok but still in trial period!

Welcome aboard!

If you get a chance, post some photos of your bike or the places you ride. My 3 favorite forum threads are the ones for sharing ride photos.

The plan was all along to downsize my bike heard, and use the original set of wheels as Gravel, and purchase a new set of Terra C Roval Carbon with 38mm tires. This has now been completed. Not that it makes huge difference but it is close to a 2 lb drop in weight.

I just bought a Creo 2 E5 last week and am super happy with it. I did a pile of research and decided that this was the best bike for me. I had high hopes that Specialized would upgrade the Vado SL to the new motor, but keep the rest of the bike the same. I mentioned this in another post, but when I saw the Vado SL 2 at my local bike shop I was disappointed by how heavy and bulky the bike was. That realization pushed me in the direction of the Creo 2. It's almost 10 pounds lighter than the Vado SL 2. I decided to go with the alloy version, because I want a fitness, commuter and touring bike. I decided that an alloy frame is better for my needs than a carbon one. I was nervous that the alloy version might feel too stiff, but I find the bike to be very comfortable. The future shock helps a lot with comfort. In addition to the bike I got a Topeak Explorer rear rack, Specialized Dry-Tech fenders, a range extender battery, and a Terry Falcon Y saddle. Basically I made a drop bar version of the Vado SL that I wanted. At some point, I'm going to get a wider handle bar and the Red Shift drop bar comfort attachments, but I decided that I spent enough money this week! I love the new motor. It's so much quieter than the old SL version. The extra power is nice too! I'm retiring at the end of this year. I had planned on getting this bike as a retirement present for myself in December, but I got nervous that tariffs and trade wars might mess up that plan, so I got the bike now because it was stock locally. I've ridden about a 100 miles in the past few days. I keep the bike on the battery saver power setting and ride without power as much as possible which really helps with range. Anyway, I'm super happy with the bike.

Nice! I'm going through the same thought process. Seriously considering the Creo 2. Would love to see a few pics of your new ride!

I've had the Creo 2 for about a week now. It's hard to describe how much I like this bike, but I like it a lot. I've ridden the bike about 20-30 miles a day since I purchased it. Because I've been getting to know the bike and what it can do, I've been riding with the range extender battery to alleviate range anxiety. Now I'm going to take range extender battery off and get to know the bike without it. I have learned that Turbo mode eats up the battery fast. The other thing that I've learned is that Sport mode in the Creo 2 is kind of like Turbo mode in the old SL motor. (I'm using the Creo 2 in Battery Saver mode in the power settings). So far, I really haven't needed Creo 2 Turbo mode. I've used it now and again to experience it, but I really don't need it. Power assist off, Eco mode and Sport mode are plenty for me to ride wherever I want and to get up any local hill. (I'm 69 and just in average shape) The bike pedals basically like a regular bike when used without power assist. Specialized says this alloy version Creo 2 weighs about 33 pounds. That's way less than many, if not most e-bikes. It's a very energy efficient e-bike.

Probably the biggest surprise is how much I like the SRAM Apex shifters. I've only owned bikes with Shimano components. I've grown to love the SRAM Apex single brake lever up and down shifter. Another surprise is how much I like the power shifter handle bar buttons. They are very convenient.

I actually haven't found anything that I don't like about the Creo 2, which is also a surprise. I mean there's usually something to complain about.

Sorry! No pictures yet. It looks like all of the other Creo 2's, but I'll try to get some up soon. Cheers!!

All of a sudden, the Creo 2 is pretty much out of stock! I wonder if Specialized is coming out with a new (and undoubtedly more expensive) version.

As I just purchased my Creo2 a couple of months ago. The 2025 Creo2 Turbo is the same product as the 2024 with one different color. Nothing new expected till 2026. At least that what I was told.
