In a massive shock to the bike industry DJI have just announced a new motor system that incorporates some of their patented drone technology. The press release says this tech will help riders on technical climbs by enabling the EMTB to lift off momentarily when bunnyhopping allowing the rider to 'float' over obstacles. The technology will be incorporated into the new range of Mark 2 Avinox bikes which also will have the new patented DJI gearbox, due for release sometime early in 2027, probably in the Spring, around the start of April perhaps.

Nice try.

It's not a joke though, that DJI will be announcing the M2 drive system at Sea Otter in three weeks. Amflow is supposed to be announcing an electric gravel bike and maybe a city bike. Several major manufacturers will be announcing DJI powered bikes as well, Household names.

A good attempt :)

My friend Tommy messaged me this morning: "With the new drivetrain on my bike -- which you helped me get and install -- I will start in this year's Mazovian Gravel 200!" He fooled me as much as I asked him: "Are you insane? Did you pay to participate?!" :D :D :D

Hey, That's My Idea !!??

I posted it somewhere on the forum but I can't find it??

I suggested adding a compressor and air can to my ebike and hooking it up to my air forks and air shock to jump my ebike and do back-flips, like this guy using airbags,..

I can operate a pogo stick and a two-wheeled skateboard, so I'm sure I could learn to pronk like an antelope. 😁

@Chargeride could learn to do it on one of his beach rides.😁

@PedalUma could learn to pronk like a Llama. 😁

@Stefan Mikes won't be able to pronk.
He can't even ride no-hands😁
( I tried to ask the robot if an Ass can pronk, but I only got erroneous search results)

Yeah, I know.
I'm an Ass too, but it's my last name.
My first names are Jack Smart and Dumb.
My last name isn't Hole

[ envisions E.T. scenario ]

I don't wanna trash up this thread, but why is Elliot pedaling??

He must have a cadence sensing flying bicycle that can be Ghost pedaled?
So I guess no active throttles on flying BMX bicycles?

@Marcela got mad at me for calling her a girl, but if she can ride her ebike like this chick can skate, then she'd Fricken Impress me!!

Pretty sure that's a girl skater, judging by the hair, clothes and Ass, and I'd rather watch that ass than watch the this guy even though his skating is UnFucKinBelievable,..

Check out the beautiful scenery of this Hottie skating down a mountain in Columbia.

I watched it 3 times before I realized that she was on roller blades, not a skateboard.

I'd do it both ways with her.😁

All this stuff is too wobbly to go fast.
My rollerblades are in the garage.

Don't you get the same "floating" effect by smoking a vado? 🥴

Yeah, I do.
Then the wheels in my head start spinning and I start thinking about Torque and Angular Momentum,... 😁

So I'm thinking that the wheel will turn in the exact same way if you hang the axle from the other end, and only the wheel spinning in the reverse direction will reverse the slow turn of the whole thing.

And if there was no friction from the bearings or air in the room, the wheel spin forever, and there would be no turn at all of the whole thing because Torque and Angular Momentum give up chasing each other because you can't get no grip on a frictionless surface.

There is no media to transmit the force of the fight.

Speaking of torque,..

My BBS02B says it has 120Nm of torque,..

Are they measuring torque at the output shaft of the motor, or torque where the wheel grabs the ground?

I can easily put a 13T chain wheel on the motor (with the appropriate spacers) and a 52T cog on the wheel and torque myself right up the side of a tree. 😁

Jesus you lads are slow off the mark!

Do you have an official source for a gearbox ennouncement?

Jesus you lads are slow off the mark!

Yeah, I get it.
April Fools Joke.
But my idea isn't a joke.

I could use an empty propane cylinder as an "air pig" as they call it and fill it with my 48V compressor wired directly into my ebike battery.

Just some stainless steel braided hydraulic line and a solenoid valve and I'm good to launch myself with a push of a button.

My compressor says it only goes to 150 PSI, but that's good enough, and won't blow out my fork seals.

You are right though, it might be a little slow, but I could always supercharge it by using actual propane and an ignition source to fire myself skyward.

I think outside the Orb.
Boxes are for Square Heads.
