Based on the feedback from several people and moving forward, this will be the new electric blue color. It looks very sharp, has a clear coat finish and people like it better than the last iteration.
This particular bike is going to Tennessee. Fully loaded with Dual batteries, Kindernay VII hub, FOX fork, Kinekt seatpost and Supernova M99 lights.

Yes, as of now, we have the following colors, and custom colors are done as a $50 USD upgrade
electric blue,
matte black
sparkle red
High-viz yellow (optional)
signature sparkle green (optional)
we do have a unique dual coat custom color that is shown in the thread here

Thanks for this question, and to answer your questions, I have to provide some background information.

• The new ABS from Bosch launched a few months ago, and they are taking bookings from OEMs, but the mass production units won't be available until Spring 2023.
• To use the ABS, we need to use the Bosch smart system. The Bosch Gen4 system has two categories. Current Gen4 and the smart system. The smart system was recently introduced and costs more. Both of them are currently in production, and we use the latest Gen4 (not the so-called smart system) we decided to do so for the following reasons.
  • Gen4 system has been perfected over the last two years, and all the kinks have been worked out.
  • The new smart system needs a bit more work. For example, the new smart system is incompatible with the Dual battery configuration or the Rohloff E-14 gearbox because the CANBUS protocol is not yet developed. So, we could not use the dual battery configuration if we used the smart system. Dual battery - long-range feature is very much desired by folks who ride a lot or anyone who wants to minimize range anxiety.
  • We have to use the Magura ABS brakes to implement the ABS. The Magura ABS units have an 8-month lead time. As I said, these units can now be booked by the OEMs for 2023 production.
  • We would wait one more year before all these small issues are ironed out.

Typically, most companies announce their new products at the EUROBIKE, which is more like keeping up with the Joneses. As a company, we have to weigh in a lot of factors like cash flow, current product trajectory, market demand, etc before we bring something onboard.

There are also mounts for “a soon to be available next level safety feature”. Though we can’t say for sure, this may well be an anti-lock braking system, such as the ABS G2 from BluBrake, to prevent undesirable front wheel skids.

If Bosch is a proprietary closed source system are there any open source ABS systems that might work with FOX AWL with potential next Gen Zen, Non-Bosch offerings for 2023 or beyond? Or have the components in place for future scalability and upgrade.

I realize ABS is new to the e-bike world but it's safety benefits cannot be overlooked.

The Rohloff units are expected to land here by March 2023, and we expect the Rohloff shipments to start by the end of March, just in time for Spring.

Rohloff E-14 will be available starting March for delivery.
We just received notification that the hubs would be ready by the end of this month.

These bikes look cool. Just curious about the weight of the bikes without second battery: for both Enviolo and Kindernay hub. I read kindernay hub is couple of pounds lighter.

Just curious about the weight of the bikes without second battery: for both Enviolo and Kindernay hub.

The weight is around 55 lbs with a single battery for a medium frame.
Kindernay is certainly lighter than Enviolo hub, and other choices like Tire (Super moto-x vs. Johnny Watts) and Suspension (FOX vs. Manitou) also make a difference.
