A question about the anti-theft alarm - does the battery need to remain in place for the alarm to go off? What happens if I take the battery with me to make the bike a less tempting target for theft?

The alarm doesn’t work when the battery is not in place. That was kind of a bummer for me. But yeah, the bike is also a less tempting target without the battery.
