Will There Be Batteries For Us When All The Cars Are Electric?

It's coming. I see people walking around with communicators in their ears near full time now. Just tap it and talk. Also see rockets that land upright like in some cartoons 50 years ago.

But in the mean time twice the power in a given volume, 1/5the the charge time, no fire risk, extremely long cycle life sound very good indeed.

I'm getting off topic on my own thread. 🤔

Will batteries remain affordable? They're damn expensive now. What if they double in price? Triple?
I just went back to read the beginning of the thread after posting in it.....I'll bet batt prices drop a bunch as technology steps up. And a battery that costs less but has double the power, 10 times the longevity, charges in a fraction of the time, won't start a fire, etc, etc, is a lottttttt cheaper.

I'm waiting for the day when dilithium crystals and Transwarp drive come on line...an enterprising thought. ;)
It will be a long long time before you will see all transport powered by electricity number 100% more electricity will have to be generated to keep up with demand, if cars and homes all go electric. so more coal will have to be used or nuclear energy, then there is the problem of waste. 2 all electric cables create an electric and magnetic field outside the cable so we will be living constantly electrically charged to put it in a nutshell , then it may take another 100 years for them to say how dangerous it is, the same way they told us all to buy diesel cars a few years ago.
. Just imagine an emergency vehicle transporting an organ from Scotland to London stopping 3 times to recharge a total of at least 9 hours, the batteries cost over £5000.00 to renew at the moment . I could go on but time is money

I’m sure it won’t be much longer when those distances are expanded.

Meanwhile, Toyota has announced a 1 billion investment towards the construction of a plant in NC that could potentially supply batteries for the growing EV market. This was just prior to the company revealing their future lineup of 15 EV concepts including a p/u truck. ‘Oh What A Feeling!’ 🎵
