I would say even $5 would be a good deal in a pinch ( charge at home other times?

There are times when I would pay $5, or even more! They're doing the labour, taking the inventory risk, paying the rent for the space, the staff wages, etc.

If there was more consistency in battery packs from one e-bike to the next, this could be a good business opportunity. However, the extreme lack of consistency makes it a non-starter at this point, sadly.
