Which chain is on the Vado 5.0?

My head is exploding!
I went through this dilemma a month or so ago....and after posting photos and being told that my original chainring was unusually worn and was mounted incorrectly, I put the new one on as referenced (the right way?) and the markings/stencil/wording is facing the motor, not towards to outside/pedal. The point is I guess that these came from the factory this way?
Regardless, now mounted as directed (via here) and zero issues. Actually, I had zero issues with the previous one at 2500 miles, but I'd assume it was to ultimately occur if it was wearing incorrectly.....

I have a gut feeling that this specific chain-ring is perfectly symmetrical...

... and I'll meet you at the end of your trek in front of the monument. ;)

You should have retained your old chainring (I should have done the same). When the time comes to replace the chainring (a year ahead maybe) then I take photos and exact measurements :)

Morning,
I've been extremely busy these days, following the discussion, and I'm not sure what the conclusion is?
What is the correct position of chainring?

I inquired about the mounting of the 'newer' Praxis Wave chainring at two German online shops that sell them.

Got an answer of (only) one of them: mount it with icon/diagram and logos to the inner side, as before.

Which only proves the phrase "Ye goode ole Specialized" and the fact the ring is non directional :)
Narrow-Wide Chainring Diagram.jpg

This is how the original Praxis chainring looked like when I took it off my Vado on 3rd of December 2020. The 48T engraving was on the opposite side, facing the frame. (I have found this photo in my archive accidentally).
