When I’m wrong I’m really wrong. eBikeling

I hate the SW900. I could not get the smooth PAS control like on a KT controller. So I put a KT controller on my second ebikeling kit.
From what I see, there's no comparison. The KT is far superior....

I believe he has the 830 display. A PIA to change settings.
1st is erratic power shutdown, 2nd is no speedo?
Yes. The speedo not working frustrates him but more importantly the random shut down is real bummer. He doesn’t ever ride far from home but a breakdown for a disable guy is a nightmare. I’m spoiled by Grin’s CA models and settings done on my MacBook.

How does he get the power restored?

Is there any chance he's pulling too much power and overwhelming the controller or BMS?
If there's any chance, maybe it would be worth the trouble of reducing available power via P14 to see if that changes anything.

It shuts down completely and he restarts from the display. I imagine that could be the issue. That’s not something I’ve experienced on any of my builds, or in my CS experiences.

P14: The Current-limiting of Controller
The original Current is 12A. Range:1-20A
Please check the current your controller and the hub motor can handle. Set the limit accordingly.

That motor should handle 12a easily, it would seem like the controller shouldn't have an issue, so if there is actually something limiting out it's most likely the battery/BMS....

Might be worth a try at 8a or 10a to eliminate that possibility? Set it lower, then, if he has no issue, you've identified the problem.

After tomorrows family funeral I will do a spread sheet to follow through the setup.
Thank you
