water problem?

Last weekend we were camping and it had rained hard the night before. My bike was covered up with a good motorcycle cover. On and off during the day the bike would turn on but not allow me to change power settings. It also would not do any pedal assist. i rebooted the bike a few times also. but the weird thing is one time it would turn on and not doing any thing and then 10 mins later it would go fine. Any suggestions as to where to look for water getting into some fitting or connection?

I was able to unplug the screen from the back and plug it back in and it worked for a period of time.

If it happened again, please do not keep turning it on with some wetness still inside. Remember to check your display was completely dry.

Thanks for your help. what im concerned about is that the bike did not see any direct rain or water. it was dry under a motorcycle cover so what ever water it saw was just vapor.

If you do find that you have allowed water to penetrate your bike, dry it off as soon as possible. Then place it in a dry location to allow the water to evaporate from the crevices of the bike.
