Hello: This is my first post. I have Aventon Level, while transporting it back from
riding last Thursday we came thru a drenching rain storm, put the bike in my home
and today was going to ride and noticed the display monitor was clouded over and
not working, the motor and everything else seems ok, nothing is readable on the
display, pretty obvious water got inside, if I had known this might be a problem I
would have put freezer bag over it, anyway has anyone here had that problem and
if so what can be done, I will try calling Aventon tomorrow--thanks.

Not familiar with Aventon display, are they removable?
Got drenched in a downpour last summer on my Vado. I carefully and gently used a hairdryer on the soaked parts, then left it to dry. Not sure if it helped or not. Everything works and at least I felt better while doing it.

Pull the battery so you don't get any electrochemical corrosion in the display while it dries.

Thanks for the input. I did not remove the battery before turning it on,
did not know of any trouble until turning it on so maybe fried, as of now
nothing electrical works, the display is not removable but did get the back
opened up and let fan blow on it a long time, think its too late, anyway
sent picture to Aventon for help, their web page says they are way behind
and will be a week or so before getting back to me, I hope they can get
parts for it, seems like a run on bikes lately and parts also.

Not a problem. Remove the monitor and place it in a bag of uncooked rice for a couple of days and the rice will absorb the moisture.

UPDATE----Aventon sent me a new display unit this afternoon (7-20) put it
on and everything is running perfect, just rode a couple miles before dark
checking it out---thumbs up for Aventon, they are doing great for such
trying times we all are going thru now.

Carry a sandwich bag and a rubber band to put over the display next time.
Yes I surely will, I have some already in my bag, hindsight is always 20/20,
wish I had done more research on this matter, hope this helps others.
