ViVi 26" 350w battery question

Hello all, I am new to Ebikes and am thoroughly impressed with it. I was blinded by a brain tumor so my ability to drive a car was removed and my Ebike has given me back some freedom. I go 10 miles one way and notice the battery is barely able to keep me going for as long as I need. I looked into another battery but it seems I can only get them from the manufacturer? Are there any other options for the ViVi Ebike(s). Thanks in advance!

I took a look at Vivi ebikes, and there were several different models shown on amazon. Some have an (eek) 36V battery in a bag on the handlebars. And there's this awful plastic lump under the frame holding the electronics. Yikes, I have DIY ebikes, and I can't envision doing that for a commercial bike I would want to sell.

Others have a more conventional battery case mounted on the frames. You'll have to describe your bike in more detail.

Neither appears like they would be hard to source. If you had the first, the obvious thing to do is het rid of the battery in a bag and buy a battery/cradle for the frame,.

I have the version that retains the bottle battery on the frame in "the triangle" and is a 36v 8ah battery. Maybe its better/easier to just convert my old GT Karakoram to a 750-1000w 52v15-17ah battery set up? I need to go 20 miles round trip with several inclined hills involved. Additionally, I only weigh 120 lbs.

52 v is for high speed. You probably don't need that. I ride 48 v on a 36 v 500 w motor.
I cross 80 hills, some up to 15%, with a 17.5 ah battery; after 30 miles I have about 1/2 battery left. I weigh 160 & I carry 60 lb supplies on the uphill leg. I average about 6 mph, down from 9 mph with a 1000 w motor I can't buy anymore. (Rain burnt that controller & motor, an ASI, don't buy one of those)
Here is a selection of 750 w hub motor conversion kits (26" wheels or 700 c) that are complete, less torque arms and battery mount. The 12.8 ah battery is a bottle mount. https://ebikeling.com/products/750w-geared-ebike-conversion-kit?variant=39561544007746
Rear motors make the bike rear heavy and are compatible only with 7 speed freewheel sprockets. I've used front wheel kits since 2018, since I like my 8 speed rear sprocket cassette. $679 + freight for 750 w geared hub motor kit wtih 12.8 ah battery. He also has 20 AH batteries if you want to ride further to a festival or concert some special weekend. I bought my kit from ebikeling in 2018. His kits are complete less torque arm, all components are compatible at the time of sale. That motor lasted ~4500 miles, but a new power wheel is only $209. The controller lasted 4 years; errored out this spring. If your bike has a steel fork and no front suspension, you can put the motor on the front. Don't use front power on ice, wet or muddy steel plates, rock, wet or mossy wood like bridge decks. Walk on those surfaces. Note large diameter hub motors like most 1000 w ones are direct drive, which accelerate slowly up to 20 mph and burn too much electricity on hills running slowly. I have a DD motor, hated it, parked it.
Sorry about your disablity. Glad ebikes give you back some mobility & freedom. I gave up cars when gas went over $2 a gallon, since my car got 5-12 mph on this volatile RFG. The worse the less I drove. Butane evaporates out of the vented tank, leaving an unburnable sludge. I shop off my bike, a yuba cargo model designed for grocery hauling. Bought & hauled home a 50 qt igloo cooler Friday; try that with a cruiser. Where the box sits in the avatar on the aluminum rack I installed.

36v 8ah battery.
You can't use a 52V battery. Only a 36V. You can get higher Ah which will give you more mileage.
We could help you better with pictures and an idea as to EXACTLY which bike MODEL you have!
I'd consider 36V 15Ah

This is the bike, it is 350w 36v 8ah battery equipped (removable) and on full speed it needs help pedaling on hills and runs out of power quickly. I suppose I can just convert my Karakoram (early 90s) to a 750-1000w 48v 20ah front hub set up. In the mean time I'd like to find a 2nd battery so I can go full speed round trip. ViVi is out of stock so I may be screwed for now.

Ok you have enough room for most frame mounted batteries.
some of us have nearly a decade of experience with China’s better battery builders and have good luck with a member here that does a great job of educating us on what is available great details on available cases. I’m on my third battery from her company. Jenny is a very brilliant and honorable reseller in China. @Jenny Mao can give you a quote and supply a great quality battery with better cells
than you likely have.

[email protected] the batteries are direct from builder. It may take a week or more because of the massive covid quarantine. Very aggressive, but they are now back to work. If you have any questions or voncerns email her and/or private message me and i’ll assist. There are cheaper builders but with cheap substandard cells and builds.

a 750-1000w 48v 20ah front hub set up.
Sure but all new motor, controller and battery.

36v 15Ah plus battery and with 21700 cells ought to do what you need. Or did the bike never perform even with the new battery?
