Your post made me very interested in the Death Valley! I've read a lot to learn more, and found this e-bike related video. Aren't you a Levo owner, too?

If you are interested in Death Valley I recommend reading Death Valley in 49 by William Manly and Burro Bill and Me by Edna Calkins Price both easy reads and both available on Kindle. A couple pics, Death Valley Junction which used to be a jumping place with a luxury hotel and an opera house and a night time shot overlooking Dante's View. (The glow on the horizon is the City of Los Angeles some 150 miles away as the crow flies). (credit for these pics goes to a fellow Sprinter owner whose photography skills far exceed mine)
If you visit the area and have time you must go to The Salton Sea with it's surrounding and off the beaten path attractions and to Joshua Tree National Monument.
