I've got an older Shred that has served me well. The battery seems to have died as far as I can tell. Mitchel at Surface604 agrees.
Unfortunately, the cost of a new battery wasn't worth it for me, so I bought a different bike. I should probably get rid of the Shred. I'm in the bay area, so if anyone wants it, they can come get it for parts or get yourself a new battery and you'll have a great bike. It's got over 3000 miles on it, so it's not in pristine condition. It works great when the battery is cooperating.
