I make a very tasty version of squirrel that is best described as "pulled squirrel." I cook it whole in a pressure cooker for an hour, clean all the meat off the bones, liberally add Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, put it in the oven at 350 for a half hour, and serve it like pulled pork. Its quite good IMHO.Seconds ago I was watching crows divebomb a red tail hawk that was hunting for gophers from the top of a redwood. When they do this the crows almost bark the word Hawk, Hawk. Only 20% of squirrels make it one year. We don't think of them this way but they are killers with razor sharp claws. They eat baby birds.
