Upgrade motor for 2002 Lafree Twist possible?

One going for a song locally just wondered if this was possible? Needs a new battery too.

By e-bike standards that bike is ancient, so I would be very surprised if you could even get an original motor for it, let alone an upgrade. If it needs a battery, in my opinion the asking price better be less than $100.

Even if a compatible motor was available totally free, I still wouldn't do it, unless your last name is Wright . (like in Wright Bros.)
