Unicorn search? Off-road fat step-through + internal hub?

FLX Blade 2.0 also with the Bafang Ultra motor, Rohloff hub, and Gates Belt Drive:

I just checked out the specs on this Blade 2.0. That checks every box except the step-thru (TT is a bit lower than my current bike, though), and with the 27.5 x 2.6 (with tubeless ready rims, which are nice), that might be a better choice to complement my existing fat bike rather than another fatty. Not sure on the availability of these, however...I contacted customer service about availability and haven't heard anything back yet.

Something you might consider is a good singlespeed belt drive bike, then add something like a Swytchbike Max ebike kit…with the motor on the front wheel. It would give you the torque to make the hills and be exceptionally quiet…

The HD is not compatible with any internal hub I know of. Read the specifications of the hubs you are considering and pick a compatible motor from there. Even cargo hubs cannot take that kind off torque and are not designed for throttle surge from a dead stop. Shimano makes an eBike specific five speed IGH.
Shimano also makes the Nexus IGH in several gear combinations. Mine is the Nexus 7, which has worked very well for me. In fact, I would be reluctant to go back to a derailleur, even though the last one of those I had was a good one (on an acoustic Trek hybrid).

After 24,000 miles I just blew the clutch on a mid-drive with coaster brake three-speed Nexus. I rode it hard and still love that bike. In January I will install a stronger TSDZ2B coaster brake version and relace the hub with an e5 Nexus IGH coaster brake. Coaster brake eBikes are very rare and such a blast to ride. It will get a Microshift Nexus seven lever shifter.

I have 2 IGH bikes, one has a Rolhof with over 10,000 absolutely trouble free miles since 1998, and the other has a Nexus 8. I am considering getting a Swytchbike front wheel with motor to give me a nexus 8 with edrive. It would still come in in the low to mid 30lb range, and I think it would be a real fun bike to ride with very very low maintenence requirements.
