Turbo Creo SL Expert Spontaneously turning on

I have a Turbo Creo SL Expert that I have been riding since January. I have about 350 miles on it, and I don’t turn on the power levels very often. The bike is on, connected to Mission Control, but no power levels are being used. Yesterday, after about 16 miles, the bike started going into power level two spontaneously, and went off and on thereafter. I finally had to turn the bike off and leave it off, but I tried turning it off and riding, but it continued to go on by itself, turning itself off and on repeatedly. I took it to the dealer, but with Covid, it will be 8 weeks before they can look at it. Has anyone experienced this problem?

No similar problem but since the TCU always starts in level 2 when it's turned on, I speculate that the power has been quickly interrupted and reconnected. The easiest check would be to pull the TCU and make sure the connection to the motor/battery is good. Pull the connector apart and reconnect. Anything beyond that would require dropping the motor to check the connections down there.

Had a similar issue but with the Range Extender. When placed in the Specialized cage the cable is under extreme tension. It’s my wife’s bike and after about 1100 miles she had the same issue you report. I bought a different cage which allowed me to rotate the RE placing less tension on the cable and connection. Has worked flawlessly since. May not be exactly your issue but lends credence to the power being interrupted. By the way, Specialized says they’ve never seen this. Surprise.
