Trek Domane+ rattling noise

Rattling noise from inside my TrekDomane+ SLR6 frame, on even slightly rough pavement, is spoiling my rides. Possible causes include 1) loose internal wire connectors banging against the frame, 2) loose nut or other bit of hardware bouncing around somewhere, or 3) ?.
Looking for the forum's help with 1)and possibly 3). Anyone experience similar rattling noise? If not, I'd focus on 2). I'm prepared to have a Trek shop remove the motor and battery and have a good look inside the frame, if that's the likely solution.
Regards and thanks, Rob.

Hi Rob,
I have a light rattle on rough pavement on my Domane+ SLR6 that sounds like it's coming from the headset. I have tried holding/touching various components up front (like the stem and my Elemnt Roam) while I ride but it does not diminish the sound. It could well be a cable, I think, due to the location, but hard to believe it would be so loud if it were. I have also wiggled the front forks pretty hard and can detect no play.

I had it too, and it was really loud and annoying. It magnified the mild motor noise. Took it to the dealer and it took them a few rides to isolate it - I believe it was the Di2 battery in the seat tube that had come loose. They also took care of the rattle near the headset, which I believe was cables.

I had tried some of the same ideas, like holding different parts to see if the sound changes.

I tried stuffing foam into the top tube through the display opening, but, alarmingly, it made the motor control buttons erratic or downright unresponsive, but worked again with the foam removed. Decided to take it Trek and dismounted all the extraneous accessories and... the most annoying rattling disappeared. Turned out the main culprit was an attached Lezyne minipump, its handle cap rattling against its body. Taping them together keeps it quiet.

There was still some noise coming from the top tube. Trek tried stuffing some foam and... same issue with the motor buttons not working properly. They then opted to bundle the wires/cables together with a velcro strap and that worked. The nearly constant rattling is gone, limited to the rare big bump. Peace.
