Trek Allant 9+ Light Switch

Hi all,

Apologies if it has been covered, I am a new Allant 9+ owner, and am loving the bike thus far, but I do have a question. When I have my smart phone connected to the hub, holding the "+" button will turn the light on and off (or I can also use the phone itself to do the same), and the light button seems to raise and lower the front beam brightness. But when I want to do a quick ride w/o bothering with the smart phone connection, I seem unable to turn the light on or off by any method. Others experience this?

Mine turns on and off regardless of smart phone connection using the "+" button. Might need to take it to bike shop to have them reflash firmware or change a setting.
