Trading batteries between bikes

I'm pretty sure the answer is "no problem doing it", but want to check.

Should apply to any Bosch drive system, but in particular we have (2) Gazelle C380s. I weigh considerably more than my wife and periodically tow a trailer, so use battery faster.

Is there any problem exchanging batteries between bikes during a ride so both batteries deplete about the same time? I assume there would be some amount of time after exchanging before range is recalculated. Thanks!

Not only is there no problem with your battery strategy but it sounds like it should be helpful in keeping both batteries in relatively equivalent life and state of health over time.

I'm always rotating batteries between bikes. No different than switching batteries between power tools regardless of charge state.

Given you are towing trailer worth considering buying extra battery, can be smaller cheaper 400wh. Besides extra range will allow you to swap them around both bikes on long ride and deplete all to same level, not so easy to do with 2 batteries. One will eventually go flat first.

Worth labelling batteries A, B, C that way you can keep a track of them. Rotate them when not doing long rides so they get cycled every couple of weeks. If not store spare with 60% charge.

NB I've just bought spare 625Wh to go with my new trailer, would've been 400 or 500wh but 625Wh was about 25% off so couldn't say no. Now have 1875wh between two bikes or 2 spare batteries if I'm on my own.
