Traction cuts off very abruptly when stop pedaling

Hi guys,

I just mounted my Bafang mid drive 750W on a 26" MB. and I love it

However when I stop pedaling I can feel the motor "cuts" the traction in a VERY abruptly way, almost like a shock.

I noticed this effect almost disappears if I pass or I get closer to the max speed for that PA level.
When you run freely its not a big issue but at slow speeds it quite annoying.

I am currently on 9 PAS levels and I set max speed to 30Km/h. Would changing the settings to 5 PA levels improve anything?

Anyone has solution on how to ease this?

please let me know.
Thx.

With the EggRider or a programing cable you can adjust how rapid or slowly the motor ramps up or down among a lot of other changes.

Thanks Ervin,

do you know exactly which parameters affect such behaviour?

A few specs:
⁃ I set the max speed at 30,
⁃ No throttle installed (illegal in Singapore)
⁃ 52 chain ring
⁃ 7 speeds Shimano cassette

Start current-5, Slow start mode - 3, start degree - 5, Time of stop - 10, Current decay-4, Stop decay-4, that will get you close.
