ToSeven DM Series Mid Motors

Personally I do not wish to crash at over 24 mph with all the ER bills, dental work, physical therapy time, and cognitive therapy mess and loss of work time, that is a pain. I can get anywhere at 26 kph and still be happy everyday. I just rode it to 27.x mph (44.3+k) on a quarter mile. I was spinning out. It is not about the top, it is how you get there. On the same track my Vado will do 42 max. But it is more sedate even in level 5 when I was in level 2 on the eStraggler.
I just installed a 52T front chainring and could only hit 26mph on a 500w DM02 on a 48v (supposed 30a) battery pack. I'm assuming the low speed is due to the programming of my T24? Max speed has been set to 50kph, I don't really know what else to mess up in the advanced menu right now, and I'm not joining discord just to "tune" this controller. Does anyone have a quick and dirty guide (that's beyond the scope of the wikidoc?) much obliged, TIA.

I have a dm01, but I had settings for max amps and speed at each assist level if I recall correctly. I am in the process of swapping my dm01 onto my Motobecane TAZ3, so I can't power it up easily at the moment. I've also been playing with the TSDZ8 which is also a nice motor IMHO. The DM01 power is so fun though, especially at 60V :) I added some pics of that and my full suspension gravity fsx boost pro with the tsdz8.

I have not bought the programing cable and am still using the built in interface which gives you access to speed limits per mode etc.

Here is a recent DM02 build. Susan is 75 and took it on 12% grade single track MTB gravel trails. She has a $5500 Specialized SL Vado and loves this bike 5X more.

I’ve already done that in the advance mode. Max speed is set to 50kph, max power in max assist is 100%

Today, after further slight t24 tweak: set front teeth to 52t, set max amp to 29a instead of 20a, I got the bike up to 27mph, but at 52/15, not at 52/11 (which, btw, I can’t really handle). I think I need to drop the front to a 50t asap

I guess the next thing is wheels and tires. That Pashley Prospero came in at 41.7 pounds. I topped the amps at 17. She is 75 and is not going to go over 24. She just wants to ride with her old friends. Another thing, there may be internal limits if a throttle is enabled. I have never installed a throttle on these and like the 4mm wire to the display. I normally chop off all connectors, but left one on this bike. Zoom the wires and pedals.
