Thoughts on Modmo Saigon eBike?

belt, removable batt, hydraulic disc brakes, 250w front motor, 18.5Ah removable battery, single speed 2099 Euro, or 11 speed 2299 Euro, 17kg (37 pounds).
Unsure of range, but guessing this would be similar to a Luna Stealth or a Vanmoof s3?

What do you all think?

the thing i don’t understand is the Modmo Saigon is claiming a ‘200 km range’ (124 mi) with a 18.5Ah/666wh/36v panasonic battery with a 250w front hub motor. i get that’s probably at some very low assist level, but the luna stealth with a 7ah/250wh/36v panasonic battery with a 500w mid drive motor only goes 20mi.

does this make sense, even at a lower speed? and where do they shove a 2x bigger battery? i love that it’s removable.

From a design standpoint, I like it. But I do not like things that are too integrated, which prevents modification or adjustment. For example, the handlebars with the built-in display looks very cool, but does not allow for other bars to be used. What if you do not like the width, height, reach, or shape of the bars? Another example is the built-in lights. When you mount their modular accessories, won't those lights then be rendered less effective if not useless?

That MODMO Saigon looks actually good, just the kind of thing I am looking for, I guess I will contact them and ask for more info. The battery is in the frame, there is a computer generated short video where it slides out downward.

With the range it says on the website https://modmo.io/pages/faqs rather honest how they got it.
"
Battery range will be heavily based on you and the way you ride.

Things to consider include: motor power level, rider weight, terrain, outdoor temperature and, of course, battery health.

Our 200km range was based on:

250W motor, power level 2, 60kg rider, 30C temperature and a battery with approximately 20 charge cycles. "

So using that date and my weight (75kg) in the range calculator I still get an impressive 110 mile range. Of course in practice I will most likely be riding in colder temps and have rather bad conditions here and there, but even then it still promises a very good 75 miles range.
I think the detail is the 630 Wh battery, (I calculated that from the 17.5 Ah and 36 volts) which is rather huge and probably a good motor management, but that can be only speculated.

The removable is a big plus, I could charge that in the office then and save on electric bills ;) Also thieves will probably not steal the bike then anymore, because batteries are the most expensive bit...

I have gotten a reply already Saturday morning, and they have a nice and personal customer service actually. So they said that the range with higher weight drivers would be smaller, but not significantly. Also my 2nd and 3rd follow up email questions were answered within a couple of hours...even on Sunday!
However, the delivery would be also only in November, all other productions are sold out. As many bike shops...
Anyway, I still got time...
I might place a pre-order there to get the special introductions price, its just 99,-€ and no risk because one get his money back anytime. But they already told me that prices go up monthly now until they reach 2799.-€.
