From Siberia to US west, wildfires spewed record carbon emissions this year
Climate crisis fanned intense blazes that emitted 1.76bn tonnes of carbon globally in 2021, says EU’s monitoring service
No but it may be the new normal.A 250 mile long trail of tornado damage is not normal.
That one was in April which is pretty much the middle of tornado season.4/21/67, Illinois. To say any given single event is not normal is hard to say.
I think the point is that these abnormal events (including in my area) are increasing in frequency.4/21/67, Illinois. To say any given single event is not normal is hard to say.

We may already be past the point of no return.Violent tornadoes that travel hundreds of miles are certainly not normal by almost any definition.
Neither is winning the lottery, but I hear that still happens to people. I'm afraid by the time we can confidently attribute such tornadoes to climate change we'll be well and truly screwed.

Tornados are natural ocurrences science can explain, but they also represents nature´s wrath. We may already be past the point of no return.
Las Vegas, Clark County wouldn’t give me a permit for a solar hot water panel. Nucking futs!! 1990’sWe really should do this, seems so simple and straightforward!
My neighbor got solar from Tesla, and he said it sucks. We've got to get solar, but we have to replace the roof first, and before that, I have to find the ladder in the garage so I can check on the roofers while they're working, but first I have to fix the garage door, which means I have to find the 10W-40, which is in a cabinet under the sink, but my wife won't let me do that until I fix the water damage from the leaking drain pipe, which means going to the hardware store for a piece of plywood, but the neighborhood hardware store went out of business, and I don't go to big box stores. So until COVID is done, or the local economy recovers, I'll be spending a lot of money on electricity and throwing tarps over the computers and guitars in my home office when it rains.
I think we're running a micro-model for the collapse of civilization in our house!
Is it your understanding that the arrow pointing right indicates increasing understanding? It seems about understanding, right? So what do they mean by low understanding? And why should we not disregard terrifying opinions based on low understanding?Violent tornadoes that travel hundreds of miles are certainly not normal by almost any definition.

If not in this way, then in that way. It's known as a one-way trip however it unfolds; We may already be past the point of no return.
Thats basically what another Chap told me, He had some PV and Solar collector, He said it felt like the collector would give you a payback. The water coming out of a green plastic hose laying in the sun will almost scald you in the summer( feels like it anyway) Taking that into consideration you really wouldn't have to be that "Anal" retentive about constructing a solar collector, think batch heater for instance or loops of "Pex" in the attic( with provisions for catching the condensate or "sweating" that will invariably happen.( ever heard of a "brine" pond?)Solar assisted hot water is THE low hanging fruit…short payback. It should be required in new homes.
I believe hot water uses 25-30% of household energy
Yes, we are setting up for "famine-monocultures bad) of the 200 or so plants, grains or seed we can eat we selectively concentrate on about five, we had a road job near some cornfields and there was amaranth in there 6 ft tall,I thought they were growing it, turns out it was just a "weed" in the corn. Disappointed Me, used to have hope for a bright, shining future, these days not so sure.Solar is next to useless here in the rain forest, so is wind. Mini-hydro is a possible, but wave or tide
generated might do for Puget Sound. Solar is ideal for the desert, with wind second. The shade
provided cools the soil & helps retain moisture. I´d like to see some solar along with the wind farms
on the plateaus above the Columbia Gorge. That, & more biodiversity instead of just wheat.
Lake effect? One of my Friends told Me how dreary Erie could be( no pun intended.)Last February we had 10 inches of snow covering our panels for the whole month. Total production ... 0 kwh for the month.
Over the whole year it averages out, but not much sunshine over here in midwinter.
Be thankful He is not orbiting a "solar night light" like some Jackasses have suggested( I can't even stand the neighbors"Burglar assist" night light)I may look now at other choices since Musk is such an ass…and I hate what he’s doing to the night sky even though I exist on dialup
