Can you still hear after running a gas powered leaf blower? Those things are so noisy I stop the bike if I can't stay 50' away from one in a yard. If they are persistant I take my helmet off & put in earplugs.
I'm still raking my lawn. Good for the deltoids, pecs, arm & back muscles, heart.

I wear muffs when I'm working with machines. I have a set with an FM radio built in. I kind of run my own little radio station here and broadcast music I want to hear. :)

Bought the 3M muffs after a dentist put them on me in the chair. Good external sound reduction and surprisingly good internal sound quality from radio and BT sources.

Bulky but very handy -- especially when the blower- and mower-armed landscaping crews descend on the neighborhood.

If I ever meet the guy who invented leaf blowers, I'll end up in jail and feel good about it.
 
I think this is interesting:

Biodiesel also releases less air pollutants per net energy gain than ethanol. These advantages of biodiesel over ethanol come from lower agricultural inputs and more efficient conversion of feedstocks to fuel. Neither biofuel can replace much petroleum without impacting food supplies."
 
The way to grow bike infrastructure is by following agreed norms that make it nicer for everyone. And by increasing demand for it because it is nice. I just picked up a Giant Momentum Vida mid-step to convert. It is such a simple and elegant bike for around town. It is also lightweight.

I had to escape the madness and drama at work before someone gets the worst of my temper. Instead of going straight home, I went out of my way to the bike park, I hit that jump multiple times until I was good and calm indeed it worked. I'm still panting from pedaling hard.
You know what guys having only a couple years of biking experience I'm convinced that a bike is the perfect tool for such things like today for example.
When GF gets cranky I hop on the bike and immediately find solace. This may not be new to most experience bikers but for me it's one of the best experiences.
Im gonna hit that jump one more time for good measure. There is also another good jump on the bike path currently under construction if the workers had not level it yet.

I am addicted. I become twitchy, restless and irritable. Then I take a hit of my drug of choice, riding bikes, and ahh, everything is better. But my rides keep getting longer and more frequent! The hemp oil is made from the seeds so sans-semilla, which is a Creole of French and Spanish, meaning without seed, wouldn't work. I will bet you could get some nice goat meat from feeding them stems and leaf waste from growing hemp. It makes great work clothing. Now it is time to drill the Vida for the thru frame wiring. This frame is so nice and a replacement cluster of gears is only $20. It will be very low maintenance and out perform the oye Como va from Specialized. It will also look better.

I start twitching when I see this , flashback to Nam slaying the leafies by the million. But I guarantee and 80volt back pack battery powered blower can knock that out too.

Cycling, flying, sailing and playing with my dogs are my favorite forms of meditation. It puts my head in a better place.

Bicycling is my primary source for exercise.
Biking in my opinion is less expensive than golfing. No green fee and I wear my golfing glasses and shirts, shoes for the casual bike ride.
I can fine tune my shifting and cruising speed but I have difficulty fine tuning my putter. I eventually ended up with 5 putters and a bunch of drivers.

Why not combine biking and golf? Use it as your golf cart. Strap your clubs across your back and ride from hole to hole.

Maybe start a new sport, Ebike Polo.
 
I have recommended that a timber cruising crew look into using ebikes to get behind locked gate and blocked off roads. It would save them time and physical effort.
 
Isn't it interesting, the links between eBikes, musical instruments, and things like chainsaws. These are all creative people who are active and love being outdoors. I feel sorry for the people sitting around, waiting to be entertained, especially for this US Thanksgiving on Thursday. Get up, Get out! Gluttony and Sloth are not worth celebration. Nor is yelling at a TV gladiator 'sport' to watch commercials. Make you own active sport, without referees.
 
I would like a pneumatic plunge saw for limbs. All the weight would be on the ground with just an air line to the business end.
